Dear Environmental Fundamentalists and European Morons

I've noted, and scholars have agreed, modern environmentalism has the hallmarks of a religion. It is assumed - on faith - that man controls the climate, and somehow the Kyoto Treaty would be our salvation from the original sin of progress. The latest manifestation of this faith came when European newspapers and commentators tripped over themselves trying to blame Hurricane Katrina on the United States. Never mind the Mayans having built away from the coasts to avoid storm surge.

Well, guess what, enviro-fundies? You're full of it.

Note:

The actual experts had to respond to a question about global warming from the mainstream media (many are hardcore enviro-fundies). The Kyoto movement has more to do with destroying the existing economic giants than the environment, as China - the largest polluter - would be unaffected, but I digress.

Gray and Klotzbach said factors behind this year's active season include warmer-than-average Atlantic Ocean surface temperatures and lower-than-normal sea level pressures, lower-than-average vertical wind shears and moister conditions in the lower and middle atmosphere.

They said they do not attribute the active season to human-induced global warming. Instead, they cited "long-period natural climate alterations that historical and paleo-climate records show to have occurred many times in the past."

I'm waiting for the first article blaming solar warming on global warming, to complete the inversion of reality.

Engage your brains before engaging your mouths, European media.
