As a world leader he's prone to traveling internationally. For some people it's nothing, but not for a guy who's trying to be the Mahdi and lead Islam to glorious victory over the robed Jews behind the talking trees.
Also, it's a tactic for repelling the media/European "war crimes" blitzkrieg on Israel for Lebanon. Managing the news cycle is very important.
